Watering Schedule

Give the first irrigation immediately after sowing to ensure even germination. Follow up with a second light watering on the third day. Subsequent irrigations should be spaced 10 to 12 days apart, focusing on keeping the soil moist during the critical flowering and seed-setting stages for maximum grain weight.

Correct Quantity

For an ideal plant population, use 8 to 10 kg of seeds per acre. Before sowing, gently crush the seeds into two halves and soak them in water for 8 to 12 hours. This simple step significantly improves the germination rate and ensures a thick, uniform crop stand across your entire field.

Nutrition Plan

Apply 10 tons of well-decomposed cow dung during land preparation. Use 40 kg of Nitrogen per acre, applying half at sowing and the rest in two splits after the first and second leaf cuttings. For seed-focused crops, apply Phosphorus and Potash at sowing to build strong roots and heavy seeds.
