Watering Schedule

For optimal growth, provide 3 to 4 irrigations depending on soil moisture. The first irrigation is crucial at 25 to 30 days after sowing. Subsequent waterings should occur during the flowering and grain filling stages to ensure the stalks remain juicy and nutrient-rich for forage use.

Correct Quantity

For a dense forage cover, use a seed rate of 2 to 2.5 kg per acre. Ensure even broadcasting or line sowing with a distance of 30 cm between rows. This spacing allows each plant enough room to develop broad leaves and strong stems for maximum biomass.

Nutrition Plan

Apply a balanced basal dose of 25 kg DAP and 15 kg Potash per acre at the time of sowing. Supplement with 25 kg Urea after the first irrigation. Using Sulfur is highly recommended to improve the oil content and leafy green quality of the forage.
