Watering Schedule

To get a bumper crop, provide the first irrigation 30 to 35 days after sowing. The second irrigation should be timed during the siliqua (pod) formation stage. Proper moisture during these specific growth phases ensures the seeds become bold and heavy, preventing premature drying of the plant.

Correct Quantity

For a perfectly balanced field, use a seed rate of 1 to 1.5 kg per acre. Using the right amount of seed ensures proper spacing between plants, allowing each mustard plant to branch out fully and receive enough sunlight. This leads to a uniform crop height and easier harvesting.

Nutrition Plan

Apply a balanced dose of NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium) along with Sulphur for maximum oil production. We recommend 40 kg of Urea, 50 kg of SSP, and 20 kg of Potash per acre. Applying half the Nitrogen at sowing and the rest during the first watering will maximize plant strength.
